• Enlight Renewable Energy has started commercial operations at Genesis Wind, the largest renewable energy project in Israel.
  • 34 out of the project’s 39 turbines are already operational, with a generation capacity of 180 megawatts.
  • The remaining five turbines will be operational soon, increasing the capacity to 207 megawatts.
  • The wind project is expected to generate revenue of $49 million to $51 million in its first year of operation.
  • Enlight is operating normally despite the recent tragic events in Israel.
  • The project includes a 17-mile underground high-voltage transmission cable connecting the Golan Heights to Israel’s national grid, enabling future renewable energy projects in the region.

Enlight Renewable Energy has successfully launched the Genesis Wind project, the largest renewable energy initiative in Israel. With 34 out of 39 turbines already operational, the project has a current generation capacity of 180 megawatts, which is expected to increase to 207 megawatts once the remaining five turbines pass final tests. In its first year, the wind project is projected to generate revenue between $49 million and $51 million. Despite recent tragic events in Israel, Enlight is continuing its operations as usual. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a 17-mile underground high-voltage transmission cable, connecting the Golan Heights to Israel’s national grid. This infrastructure will facilitate the development of future renewable energy projects in the region.
